Moment Maker Role

(I know, but seriously…)

Headquarters Location: Canada

Position Location: Anywhere

You’re a moment maker.

I'm hiring someone who's great with people. Someone who can lead conversations, make people feel comfortable, and help them say what they actually mean, in real time. The ideal fit would be someone who's curious and knows how to ask great questions. If you are confident, conversational, creative enough to pull real stories out of people in real time, and enjoy bringing out what's already inside the person in front of you, this might be for you.

A Good Description of You

Ask yourself: "Do I recognize myself in this?"

  • You enjoy leading conversations

  • You know how to guide people in real time

  • You're confident and conversational

  • You're creative in the moment

  • You can adapt live

  • You're good at reading people

  • You're comfortable with ambiguity

  • You know how to make people feel comfortable

  • You can help someone say what they actually mean

  • You can pull stories out of people that they don't realize matter

  • You can help someone feel confident enough to give more

Ultimately, you're good at bringing out what's already there.

Real-Time Creativity Matters — A Lot

You must be creative in the moment.

That means:

  • Guiding what to say next

  • Reframing answers live

  • Asking great questions

  • Pulling stories out that don't surface on their own

  • Suggesting where to stand, where to look, how to phrase something, when to slow down

This is situational creativity, not conceptual creativity.

To Enjoy This Job, You Must:

  • Truly be a people person

  • Be comfortable leading conversations

  • Help other people feel comfortable

  • Be exceptional at reading people

  • Be curious about helping people articulate what they think

  • Be comfortable with ambiguity

Essentially, you must be a "moment-maker" — creative enough to bring out everything inside the human in front of you, in real time.

This Is NOT:

  • A marketing role

  • A strategy role

  • A systems role

So you're probably not:

  • A marketer

  • A strategist

  • A framework builder

  • An abstract "ideas person"

BONUS — You Might Have an Edge If:

  • You've created content before

  • You've built an audience, even a small one

  • You understand what it feels like to know you have something to say but struggle to turn it into something real

  • You're curious about why some messages land and others don't
