Based in Niagara, working across the GTA and beyond
Marcy Mussari built her career the way she builds a room, one deliberate decision at a time. She founded Marcy Mussari Interiors in 2015, and within a year she had won The Search for Canada's Next Designer on CTV and Gusto, a national competition that put her in front of a Canadian audience for the first time.
What followed proved it wasn't a fluke. Marcy's work has appeared in IKEA Canada catalogues and commercials and on The Marilyn Denis Show, and she has spent the last decade designing homes across Niagara and the GTA for clients who come back to her project after project.
This summer she returned to national television as a featured designer on HGTV's Renovation Resort Showdown, competing alongside partner Melissa to transform waterfront cabins at Scott McGillivray's lakeside resort under the kind of deadlines that leave no room for hesitation. It's a format that rewards designers who can think fast and commit, and it put her instincts on display for a North American audience.
Her design philosophy is simple and she means it: your home should be your sanctuary. Marcy's audience follows her for the version of design that actually applies to their house, achievable makeovers, real budgets, the DIY that's worth doing yourself and the part that isn't. That practicality, paired with a genuine eye, is why brands from IKEA on down have found her an easy fit.
